Introduction of the Founder

   『香港戒賭中心』總幹事胡炳泉先生曾任的士 司機26年，經歷了23年賭博生涯，欠下巨債，生活憂愁，家庭破碎。自1987年信主後，靠着主耶穌奇妙的救恩，脫離了賭博的 捆綁，需用十年時間償還賭債，但蒙主的恩典使整個家庭經歷平安喜樂的生活。

   The founder of Hong Kong Gamblers Recovery Centre, Mr. Wu Ping-Chuen, had been a taxi-driver for 26 years.  He had a gambling history of 23 years.  He had huge loans.  He wrecked his family and lived in horror.  Since 1987, he believed in God and got rid of gambling with God's grace.  He paid his debts for ten years, but he lived in peace and joy with his family because of the grace of God.

   胡先生是一位資深福音戒賭工作者，有廿年關顧問題賭徒家庭經驗，廣傳福音。於2001年更蒙神呼召，毅然放棄司機生涯，全時間投入戒賭事工。過往多年胡先生獲得各教會弟兄姊妹的認同、支持及奉獻；能在香港及海外推動戒賭事工，接受不同傳媒訪問、拍攝個人見證集、並應不同機構之邀請主領輔導賭徒之講座，更以面談及電話幫助求助者處理賭博問題。

   Mr Wu is an experienced Christian counsellor with twenty years of gambling recovery.  In 2001, he was called by God.  He quit his job as a taxi driver and devoted his life in gambling recovery.  He got support from brothers and sisters in churches.  He was interviewed by news reporters. He has got a book which shares his witness.  He gives speeches about counselling gamblers.  He also helps the gamblers to settle their problems through face-to-face interview and counselling hotline.
