Introduction of the Founder

The founder of Hong Kong Gamblers Recovery Centre, Mr. Wu Ping-Chuen, had been a taxi-driver. He had a gambling history of 23 years. He had huge loans. He wrecked his family and lived in horror. Since 1987, he believed in God and got rid of gambling with God's grace. He paid his debts for ten years, but he lived in peace and joy with his family because of the grace of God.

Mr. Wu is an experienced Christian counsellor of gambling recovery about thirty years. In 2001, he was called by God. He quit his job as a taxi driver and devoted his life in gambling recovery. He got support from brothers and sisters in churches. He was interviewed by news reporters. He has got a book which shares his witness. He gives speeches about counselling gamblers. He also helps the gamblers to settle their problems through face-to-face interview and counselling hotline.
